Kronenbourg 1664 (France)

Kronenbourg 1664 (France)

ABV - 5.2%

  • Appearance – Medium golden color. Good head with a foam that clung to the glass.
  • Aroma – Perplexing. It started out with a very bad smell. However, a second sniff was a lot better.
  • Taste - The first sip was bad. But, once again, this beer snuck up on you. The rest of the glass was enjoyable with a mild, sweet flavor full of fruits and floral tones. The aftertaste was floral.
  • Mouthfeel – Smooth.
  • Overall Impression – Bill 6.5, Alan 6.5. Bill made an interesting observation, saying "If you stopped after the first smell or first taste you would think this beer was awful. It is a weird beer." Alan's thoughts, "Complex."
